On the 10th October 2024, I left my country to visit my second country Wales (Cymru) in the United Kingdom (UK). I landed safely at Heathrow and to my surprise, my friend and Lesotho Rugby Academy (LRA) Trustee Steve Lloyd was there waiting for me. It was a really great feeling to meet with Steve after 5years. He bought me breakfast and we drove away.
We visited many schools, rugby clubs, and of course, individuals who wanted to contribute towards to growth of the Lesotho Rugby Academy, and all these visits was a success. We forged new partnerships, and started new friendships with different people, clubs, and schools in St Davids, Blackwood and in Cardiff.
The presence of the two amazing people in the Wales Lesotho Link (Dolen Cymru) which are Sharon and Cath is really felt. These two amazing souls whenever you need their advice or guidance, they are always there to provide a service. Thank you Sharon and Cath.
There are many special people in Wales, but I would like to mention these few. Mr Chris Taylor who is always welcoming me in his home to stay when am in St Davids. St Davids rugby club management who are always supporting LRA in many ways, Bruce, Caroline, Alex, Nicko and of course Eurof James has a special room for whenever I visit Wales. These people are so special to Lesotho and Basotho at large.
There are also these great people who are supporting from other side of Wales, Dr Paul Myres, Theo Cabango the LRA ambassador, Wales Rugby Union, Harlequins Foundation’s CEO, Iain Richards LRA Trustee, the LRA co-founder Dan, and someone who is playing a vital role in Lesotho and in the UK, His Excellency Harry MacDonald. Thank you all for creating an environment where a Mosotho child find a safe space for them.
