But what if there was no water near your home or your school?

Even before the pandemic many children in Lesotho could not access this basic human right of access to safe water and sanitation. Even ten years after the United Nations declared this as a human right children lose out on education and life-chances, simply because they could not wash their hands properly and access clean toilets.

Dolen works with partners in Lesotho to teach communities about the importance of handwashing for healthy lives. Local experts help schools and communities to install and build their own tippy taps.
