Andrea studied Chemistry at Bristol University and began her career as a Chemist within local manufacturing industry, based in Barry, where she remained employed for 36 years. Throughout her career Andrea has held many roles but latterly became the UK supply chain manager, guiding the business through the recent challenges provided by Covid & Brexit. During the earlier stages of Andrea’s career she was involved with promoting careers in industry to local schools via programmes run by CRAC (Careers Research & Advisory Centre)

Andrea joined Dolen in December 2022 as Finance & Administration Officer on a part time basis. She is very much enjoying the challenges of learning a new role and has been made very welcome by the Dolen team in both Wales & Lesotho.

In her spare time Andrea enjoys walking & playing tennis and has a passion for water sports including windsurfing & stand up paddle boarding when the weather allows.

Cath worked for Dolen between 2017 and 2021 on both Education and WASH projects, before re-joining Dolen as Co-Executive Director with Sharon in 2023.

With over fifteen years of experience working and volunteering in the third sector in Wales, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the South Pacific; Cath is passionate about Wales’ role in Global Solidarity and supporting Basotho colleagues, communities, schools, and links to create positive change in Lesotho and Wales. She is also currently a part-time Development Support Manager at Hub Cymru Africa and a Trustee for C3SC where she is Co-Chair of the Equalities Committee.  

In her spare time, Cath enjoys line dancing, creative writing, and walking. In June 2023 Cath is planning to walk the Welsh 3 Peaks (17 miles and an ascent of 2334 metres, in one day) with friends… for fun.
