Teacher Mentoring

Due to COVID-19 our face to face programmes for teachers are on hold. Our Wales & Lesotho Teacher Placement Programmes are now being led virtually using Whats App, Zoom, Teams and Google Classroom.

We are working remotely with education professionals across Lesotho to guide and enhance their professional development during COVID-19. We have 4 teams of teachers developing digital resources for online teacher training in Literacy (English); Sesotho (Phonics); Maths and WASH that will help build confidence, knowledge, understanding and skills for teachers & learners in 2021. We are mentoring 2 teachers undertaking the online Jolly Phonics training programme; collaborating with University of Wales Trinity St Davids to lead a Mentoring & Coaching Programme for Lesotho College of Education lecturers.

We are also currently supporting 9 clusters of schools funded by the Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning Programme. Dedicated volunteers in Wales assist with this programme alongside our Education Officer, showcasing and sharing their education expertise and commitment to their Basotho colleagues.
