Introduction

This theme explores identity, belonging, food, dress, early history and cultural knowledge across Wales and Lesotho. Using a decolonial and anti-racist lens, the pack encourages learners to begin with their own experiences and communities before making wider global connections. It supports pupils to understand that different ways of living, knowing and belonging are equally valuable.

Resources

This theme encourages learners to critically examine how we respond to global issues. Moving beyond simple ideas of helping, the pack introduces questions of fairness, power, voice and partnership. Through discussion, scenarios and reflective activities, learners explore the difference between charity-based responses and approaches rooted in solidarity, justice and long-term change.
