Health Professionals and Medical Elective Students

Health professional placements from Wales have been numerous over the past 18 years and Dolen Cymru arrange every year elective placements for medical students from Wales at hospitals in Lesotho.

Health placements in Lesotho are based on an agreed health need. We welcome expressions of interest from health professionals in Wales who are able to volunteer their time and give their experience to care and treat children and adults in Lesotho.  Such placements are supported by the Welsh Assembly Government through WHC [2006] 070 issued on the 13th October 2006.
