Appeal 25
Appeal 25 is designed to raise awareness of the issues that Lesotho is facing and ultimately raise £250,000 by 2010, our 25th birthday, to build and equip a training and resource centre in the capital Maseru.
THE WALES CENTRE
Why build a Wales Centre in Lesotho?
Through the Wales Centre, Welsh people would provide desperately needed capacity building and training for key workers in health, education, voluntary and public sectors. It will also house locally employed and Welsh staff and act as a hub for our activities in Lesotho.

What will be in the Wales Centre?
- A resource library
- Short term and long term accommodation facilities
- An I.T suite
- Training facilities
- Video conferencing facilities
- Office accommodation
- Kitchen and Market Garden
Benefits of the Wales Centre:
- The chance for people in Lesotho to learn new skills.
- Training in a number of different areas such as Hospitality.
- The opportunity to develop sustainable skills as part of a long term solution to the problems that Lesotho faces.
- Training programmes will include computer skills, management courses, independent living and horticultural skills. In particular the training sessions will be tailored to meet the needs of disabled people, allowing them to gain valuable skills and enabling them access to employment opportunities.
- An innovative social enterprise that will inspire creative partnership and collaboration across all sections of society.
